Lightning is a naturally occurring electrostatic discharge during which two electrically charged regions in the atmosphere or ground temporarily equalize themselves, causing the instantaneous release of as much as one billion joules of energy.

Simply put, electricity is a form of energy produced by the flow of electrons from one atom to another.

CATERPILLARS

Caterpillars may be tiny insect larvae but they are voracious feeders, making them common plant pests. There are about many different types of caterpillars which vary in color, size, and diet.

BUTTERFLIES

Butterflies are an insect that lives anywhere from 2 days to as long as 11 months. They go through a four-step process called metamorphosis – from egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis to a butterfly.

SOLAR SYSTEM

The Solar System includes the Sun and all that orbit around it including planets, moons, comets, asteroids, gas, and dust. Scientists theorized that it was formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago after the collapse of a giant molecular cloud.

REPTILES

Reptiles are air-breathing vertebrates covered in special skin made up of scales, bony plates, or a combination of both.

SHARKS

The shark is the largest fish in the sea and belongs to the Chondrichthyes class of fish.

EARTHQUAKES

An earthquake is a sudden movement of the Earth’s crust caused by the release of stress accumulated along geologic faults, tectonic plates or by volcanic activity.

SENSE ORGANS

Senses are important because they allow us to perceive the world in which we live.
Our five senses are our sense of sight (also known as vision), smell (olfaction), hearing (audition), taste (gustation), and touch (somatosensation).

THE HUMAN BRAIN

The brain is part of the body’s central nervous system. It’s the most complicated part of the body. It has the ability to send and receive an enormous amount of information.

THE HUMAN EYE

Your eyes are actively working from the moment you open them in the morning up until you close them at night, relaying hundreds of thousands of messages to your brain throughout the day.

CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

The circulatory system is the system of vessels and organs through which blood flows and nutrients are transported throughout the body. It is also known as the cardiovascular system.
